Utah Voter Verification Project is a non-partisan, volunteer, grassroots effort to canvass the voter registration records to make sure they are accurate.
Our team of volunteers have been working to verify the accuracy of Utah's voter registration records. To do this, the official record is compared to what the voter reports at the door. Volunteers verify address, name of voter, if a ballot was processed, and method by which they voted (e.g. InPerson or ByMail). Volunteers do not asked about party affiliation or who they voted for. Elections belong to the people. It is the people who are responsible for watching over our elections. Voter verification canvassing is an important check and balance tool available to the people.
Every volunteer participated as a selfless act of service to their neighbors and the people of Utah.
Every volunteer was held to the highest standards. After being vetted to the best of our ability, volunteers signed forms that required confidentiality with the information provided and gathered. Training was also a key part of being a volunteer.
